Dr. Van Sant was born and raised in Calgary. She spent 7 years on the east coast of Canada, first studying biology at Acadia University and then graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She then moved home to Calgary to practice general dentistry before moving to London, Ontario to complete a 3 year residency in orthodontics.

Dr. Van Sant was the recipient of a number of awards during her studies, including the Dr. Don Stephenson Memorial Prize for academic excellence and an outstanding ability to treat her patients. She is board-certified and is an active member of both the Canadian and American Associations of Orthodontists.

In her spare time, Dr. Van Sant enjoys spending time with her husband and son, being outdoors, traveling, playing volleyball, and walking her dogs. She takes pride in creating a positive and comfortable orthodontic experience and creating beautiful, functional smiles for her patients. Dr. Van Sant feels very lucky to practice in her hometown.
